Oatar's DOHA (AP) - In the four years of commercial agreements related to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar,

FIFA has reported to member federations that it generated record revenues of $7.5 billion.

On Sunday, FIFA gave officials from more than 200 members a financial update

It represents a $1 billion increase above revenue from the last commercial cycle related to the Russia 2018 World Cup.

Commercial agreements with the nation hosting the World Cup helped to boost the additional revenue.

In addition to new third-tier sponsors like Oatari bank ONB and telecom company Ooredoo, top-tier sponsor Qatar Energy has also joined.
