The All-New 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire: A Quick Walkaround
We’ve just got our hands on the all-new fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire in Goa! While we’re still awaiting the full review, here’s a quick walkaround to give you a glimpse of what the updated Dzire has to offer.
Completely New Design
The new Dzire has undergone a complete redesign, with absolutely no shared parts from the current-generation Dzire or even the Swift, despite being technically based on it. Everything from the exterior styling to the interior features is fresh and new.
Headlights and Front Design
At the front, the headlights are now horizontal LED units, which Maruti Suzuki calls crystalline elements. These lights feature four to five different segments that create a striking visual effect. The Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) have also been made horizontal, continuing the sleek styling theme. The new large grille complements the front design, giving the Dzire a more premium and dynamic look.
Compact Yet Spacious
The new Dzire still maintains its sub-4 meter dimensions, making it compact for city driving while still offering ample space inside. The wheelbase measures 2450 mm, and the car rides on 15-inch alloy wheels, with 185/65 tires that add to its stylish yet practical appeal.
Rear Design and Boot Space
At the rear, the Dzire continues to impress with its design. It now features a shark fin antenna, an integrated lip spoiler on the boot, and sleek, triangular LED tail lights that add a modern touch to the overall aesthetics.
The boot capacity is an impressive 382 liters, offering plenty of space for luggage or daily use. Below the boot, you’ll find a space-saver spare tire to ensure you’re prepared for any unexpected situations.
Stylish Interiors
Inside, the Dzire takes a step forward with updated colors and textures that are distinct from the Swift, even though the dashboard layout is somewhat similar. The cabin now boasts a more refined feel, with a 9-inch pop-up touchscreen that offers a range of connectivity options.
New Features
One of the most exciting new features is the addition of a 360-degree camera, which provides a complete view around the car for enhanced safety and convenience. The twin dials and needles, along with the center display, are shared with the Swift, but there are more premium finishes in the Dzire, including auto climate control and toggle switch controls.
Another new addition is the wireless phone charger, which is perfect for staying connected while on the go. The Dzire also comes with a sunroof, adding a touch of luxury to the cabin.
Rear Seat Comfort and Features
At the rear, the Dzire continues to focus on passenger comfort. It comes equipped with a flip-down armrest, ensuring added convenience for rear passengers. All passengers have three-point seat belts, and the outer rear seats feature headrests.
For added comfort, there are dual AC vents for rear passengers, along with two USB ports and a phone slot, making it easy to charge devices or stay connected.
Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the Dzire’s engine is completely new. It features the same Z-series 1.2L 3-cylinder engine found in the all-new Swift. This engine has both manual and automatic transmissions, giving buyers flexibility in choosing their preferred driving experience.
Final Thoughts
While we can’t share the complete review just yet, the all-new 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire certainly looks promising with its sleek design, updated features, and more efficient engine.
